About StimGlow
Stimglow started in Portland, Oregon with a simple goal: to make everyday life a little more supportive for neurodivergent minds. Our team includes people with lived experience of neurodivergence, along with family members, friends, and colleagues who identify in many different ways. These personal connections shape everything we do.
Neurodivergence refers to natural variations in how people think, learn, feel, and experience the world. This includes ADHD, autism, dyslexia, OCD, and other cognitive styles. According to research from groups like the Stanford Neurodiversity Project and the Neurodiversity Foundation, these differences are not flaws. They are a normal part of human diversity, often paired with unique strengths and sensory needs that deserve thoughtful support.
The name Stimglow comes from the word stimming, which describes self-soothing or self-regulating actions like rocking, fidgeting, tapping, or pacing. These movements help many people feel more grounded or focused, especially in moments of stress or excitement. The "glow" is that calm, satisfied feeling when something just works for your brain.
Our mission is to help people build spaces and routines that feel good to live in. Every product we feature is chosen with care to support focus, calm, comfort, and function for adults who think a little differently.
